Inspection of forced conduits
The inspection of forced conduits allows the owners of hydroelectric facilities to assess the viability of their anticorrosion protection, as well as the renewal or maintenance operations to be carried out and their frequency.
It applies to the following items :
- forced conduit (diameter 600 mm to 3,000 mm)
- cased well (diameter 600 mm to 3,000 mm)
- vertical well (diameter 600 mm to 2,000 mm)
- collecting drain – flow control valve
Methodology
- consultation of archives
- feasibility study of the inspection
- internal and/or external visual inspection of the anticorrosion coating
- measurement of the thickness of the coating

The HYDRO Exploitation Engineering Department has :
- proven regular experience of this type of work
- specific know-how in relation to corrosion (engineers who are experts in materials science)
- equipment dedicated to anticorrosion inspection(hoists, measuring equipment, etc)
- experts qualified to work from ropes
