Strengthening our transformer diagnostics services
We recently purchased two new diagnostic instruments to determine the condition of transformers and perform testing procedures. We offer these services to clients who have an MSA with us and in cases where we do not operate the client’s plants.
The power transformers are important pieces
of equipment in electrical networks and power
plants. This equipment is
expensive, which is why it is essential for it to be in good working order.
The diagnostic measurements allow us to monitor the condition of the transformer within its specific environment, thereby guaranteeing the functional reliability of the installation. Various tests are used to decide what maintenance work needs to be done (condition-based maintenance).
The diagnostic measurements we take include:
- Oil analyses (services performed by our analytical laboratory)
- The diagnostic measurements of the transformers:
- insulation
- winding resistance
- transformation ratio
- capacity and tan δ
- FDS (Frequency Dielectric Spectroscopy)
- FRA (Frequency Response Analysis)
- The diagnostic measurements of the terminals:
- capacity
- tan δ
We have over 70 transformers at our disposal and are extremely experienced in maintaining and monitoring equipment of this kind. Since adding this new service to our offering, we are able to provide ALL the necessary diagnostic measurements for power transformers.
